Awarded Project: Columbus Convention Center, Red Oak Door Installation

Last week WBI was awarded a door installation project in the Columbus Convention Center.  The scope of work includes the removal of existing metal doors and replacing with new 1-3/4" premium grade red oak prefinished doors and brushed stainless steel hardware.  There are125 total doors to be installed in various meeting rooms throughout the Convention Center.

We successfully completed a General Trades project several years ago in the Convention Center, so this ain't our first rodeo.  We're looking forward to jumping back on the saddle!

Expected Challenges:
Second shift, frequent re-mobilizations, several (scheduled) delays due to events, and only (3) sets of door openings can be worked on at one time or be inoperable.

Way-to-go Randy!

Awarded Project: Ohio State University, Ohio Union Wall Panel System

Late yesterday afternoon we received official notification that WBI was awarded the Wall Paneling System project at Ohio State University!  The project involves supplying and installing 3,332sf of Shadowline wall panels, a pre-engineered product of Wall Panel System company.  The work will take place inside the Ballroom and Performance Hall, located in the Ohio Union.

Anticipated challenges:
Night shift work, restricted day time hours, limited on-site storage and limited staging area.

We are no stranger to these obstacles as we are currently working on two other night-time projects in Dayton, OH with limited storage. Go Team!

Winter Newsletter

WBI has managed to weather the tough economic storm that's affected so many businesses over the past several years.  Like many companies, business declined while competition increased.  Thanks to innovative thinking and dedicated employees, WBI is currently working on several projects around town with additional projects scheduled to start later in the month.

During the slow period, management took the opportunity to analyze the company, address several needs, and implement new technology.  The enhancements directly improved company performance and increased work capacity.  Digital documentation and cloud based services are now widely used, allowing for quick access to information and faster response times to customer requests.

With 37 years of General Contracting excellence, we provide superior service & skilled craftsmanship.  Please keep WBI in mind for your next commercial construction project. Whether it is an occupied office renovation, medical facility addition, or retail build-out, our staff is ready to assist with your construction needs.
